Vehicle import to Senegal
We deliver new special vehicles to Senegal via the Port of Dakar, managing the full customs clearance with the Senegalese Customs (DGD).
- 1 Electronic cargo tracking note (BESC) issued before shipment under the Senegalese Shippers' Council (COSEC).
- 2 Prior import declaration (DPI) through the ORBUS electronic single window, with the document set: bill of lading, commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin.
- 3 Detailed customs declaration in the GAINDE system by a licensed broker on arrival at the Port of Dakar.
- 4 Assessment and payment of customs duty (ECOWAS common external tariff) and VAT at the rate in force (18%), on the CIF value.
- 5 Issue of the release order (Bon à Enlever) and removal via the Port of Dakar electronic gateway.
Vehicles acquired through a public tender or a convention may qualify for a customs exemption from the DGD. Exact tariff classification and rates are confirmed case by case.
